This oil painting was inspired by Mother Nature. I came across this unbelievable scene while kayaking in Grand Traverse East Bay in northern lower Michigan.
I was kayaking with my husband on a windy, but sunny, day in northern Michigan, when we rounded a corner along the shoreline and found this gem. No houses, just undisturbed nature at its best. I took several photos, and when I got back home I saved this one for painting. Painting this was so enjoyable, because it brought back the feelings I felt on that wonderful day.
